Which archetype profile suits me?

Brand yourself

12 archetypes in Branding

I think  the branding archetype that would fit me best is the Jester archetype.

I’m not really a fun person and I'm certainly not a big party animal.
However I am always trying to live in the moment.
It seems no one in the class had me pegged as a jester when choosing two words to describe me.

I have to thank our English teacher for this fun assignment though (classmates have to indicate keywords that would describe another classmate).

It's been a long time since I felt flattered like this. The words chosen to describe me where overwhelmingly kind (pun not intended).
The word "kind"  appears over 8 times (on a total of 23 words written).

Caregiver, Regular, Magician and Innocent are the archetypes highlighted for me.
I do not disagree with any of them , however  the most correct type, I believe,  is nevertheless the Jester.

Living in the moment is a much neglected quality nowadays.

I see people all the time who are forever busy planning ahead. They  make plans that are realistic and many that aren’t.  I have nothing against dreamers, but I am being pragmatic and believe the future to be too uncertain to forget and neglect the present.

I like searching for everything to be thankful for  at the moment.
I say : "enjoy every day and remember to be thankful for all the good in your life".
Some days are harder than others, but remember that there are many people out there who would want to trade  places with you.

Are the Jester archetype and the Innocent archetype interlinked? Are they one and the same in truth?

I assume not, because on the list of archetypes it appears as two distinct types.

But no one can deny that there are many similarities.

Of course one might argue that all archetypes contain elements of each other.
That is probably true and actually makes a lot of sense.
Still “Jester” and” Innocent” are first cousins so to speak.
Most people who are looking for happiness are aware of the importance of the “Jester mentality” of living in the moment as well.
I see Jester and Innocent as being the most compatible archetypes.
And frankly, the best ones :)😉

"JESTER" Anecdote:

I was worried, I was anxious, I don’t like flying and I don't like planes,.
I don’t like being away. I don't like delays.

But then  my “Jester” kicked in. I didn’t look for a quick solution to make me feel better.
I decided to take it step by step, moment by moment. "Breath ,it's an experience to be in a plane, you can ask for a cold  drink, maybe later a fun movie will be shown" .I kept telling myself.
Step by step I tried to enjoy the little things and to live in the moment and I succeeded in calming myself with just positive thinking and by living in the moment.
It ended up being an enjoyable trip and the 8 hours to New York flew by.

""Jester" Company:

Häagen-Dazs

The advertisements always depict some form of enjoyment.
When I think about  Häagen- Dazs I can't help but think about  the many delectable flavors they make.
Their ads and philosophy prompt people to stop! Stop! Stop!
Stop thinking , stop planning and start enjoying, start living!
Live now, take a bite of  the frosty vanilla flavored delicacy.
Every worry can be pushed off.
Live in this very sweet moment, be a Jester!
Furthermore the actors chosen in their recent ads are personalities one might peg as "Jester" archetypes.

  1. No reason to believe that a jester can not be kind! I guess when people get to know you better, they will characterize you as the jester themselves.
